Bold Fusion of Japanese and Western Flavors

Morimoto’s menu features authentic cuisine and daring combinations of Japanese and American flavors.

Whether you’re in the mood for sushi and sashimi, tasty appetizers to share, or wagyu steak, you won’t leave hungry.

The following sections highlight Morimoto’s best dishes and explore the menu in detail so you can plan the perfect meal.

The Menus at Morimoto Restaurant in the MGM Grand

Morimoto Restaurant Menus – MGM Grand Las Vegas

Cold Appetizers

Starting with the appetizers, Morimoto puts their blended Japanese and American flavors on full display.

With unique creations like Tuna Tacos, Hamachi Tacos, and Tuna Pizza, you get a taste of Morimoto’s distinct style.

The cold plates also include authentic, signature dishes like Toro Tartare with sturgeon caviar and Asian-style Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, both of which make outstanding choices.

Salads

Morimoto offers two salads, a Mixed Greens Salad with kabosu vinaigrette and a Tempura Calamari Salad with quinoa and white miso dressing.

I recommend enjoying one of them between appetizers and entrees or before sushi.

Hot Appetizers

In addition to cold starters, Morimoto offers an array of familiar hot appetizers like Pan-Fried Pork Gyoza that are great for sharing.

I recommend trying one of their house specialties; Rock Shrimp Tempura or Pork Sticky Ribs with a spicy tamarind glaze.

They both highlight Morimoto’s culinary greatness and are full of rich flavors and textures.

Or, for something more unique, try the Oyster Foie Gras with uni and teriyaki.

Soups and Noodles

The soups at Morimoto are also great for enjoying after appetizers or before sushi.

They offer a savory Laksa Noodle Soup and two miso soups, one with tofu and another with clams.

The noodle soup is my recommendation.

It is rich in flavor thanks to a blend of broth, coconut milk, and red curry and has perfectly cooked egg noodles, sesame seeds, and ground pork.

Entrees

In the entree section, you’ll find authentic Japanese recipes, fresh seafood, and more.

If you love seared meats, you have to try the Ishi Yaki Chashu Bop or the Ishi Yaki Buri Bop.

They feature either pork or yellowtail, come on rice, and are cooked in a hot stone bowl at your table for a bit of drama.

If you’re in the mood for a classic dish, the Braised Black Cod, Angry Chicken, and Whole Lobster Epice do not disappoint.

While these plates make an excellent main course for one person, they are also great for sharing, especially if you want to experience more of the menu.

Steaks

Tender and juicy, wagyu steak gets its own portion of the menu.

Thanks to a unique taste paired with optimal tenderness, wagyu beef signifies gourmet cuisine, so it’s no surprise that’s all they serve at Morimoto.

Depending on your preference, you can select Japanese A5 wagyu or domestic wagyu, which comes cut as a New York strip, ribeye, or filet.

Whichever you choose, it comes with the house’s signature sweet onion and garlic jus; yum!

Sides

The side dishes at Morimoto go wonderfully with their steaks, entrees, and sushi. They’re also great for plant-based diets.

Choose between veggies like Spicy Green Beans, Blistered Shishito Peppers, Edamame, and Roasted Fingerling Potatoes.

You’ll also find rich Duck Fried Rice, Sushi Rice, and regular Rice sides here.

Sushi & Sashimi

Morimoto’s Sushi and Sashimi menu is broken down into several sections: whitefish, blue skin, egg, meat, shellfish, caviar, vegetable, and a mixed portion with salmon, tuna, and eel.

The abundance of categories shows you just how seriously they take sushi while also making it much easier to order, especially if you aren’t super experienced.

I recommend selecting several types of sushi and sashimi to share at the table.

If you aren’t sure what you want, choose one of the three Chef’s Combination options with collections of the best offerings.

Maki

Intricately prepared and bursting with complimentary flavors, Morimoto’s maki rolls are truly exceptional.

Impressively, some even come in a square shape that puts their colorful ingredients on full display.

The Soft-Shell Crab Roll is a house favorite. Its tender meat is deep-fried and rolled with asparagus, tobiko, avocado, and scallion, then topped with spicy sauce.

You’ll also find traditional rolls here, like California, Spicy Tuna, and Avocado.

Teppan Menu

The Teppanyaki table experience is all about presentation, creative plating, and authentic flavor.

Each dish is cooked to perfection right before your eyes and then served with intricate garnishes.

The Teppan menu features a collection of Morimoto’s signature appetizers, a couple of soups, a la carte Japanese A5 wagyu, and the main course.

For your entree, you get to choose a protein and vegetable yakisoba or fried rice. Whatever you pick, get ready for a show.

Cocktails

Morimoto’s bar menu has everything you need to make the most of any occasion.

From specialty cocktails to premium wines to bottled Japanese beers, their libations accommodate varying tastes and pair perfectly with their refined cuisine.
