What to Order at The X Pot at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
The X Pot offers several different menus — the a la carte menu, a few different tasting menus, sharing menus, and a bar menu. Since there’s a bit of overlap among the several menus, for the purpose of this article, we’ll be focusing primarily on the a la carte menu, while also recommending a few exclusive options off the bar menu, too. Here’s what to order to enjoy the best of the best of The X Pot, beyond the mid-meal entertainment.
The Menus at The X Pot Restaurant

Appetizers and Starters
When it comes to appetizers and starters at The X Pot, raw is the name of the game. If you’re ordering off the a la carte menu, go for the caviar tasting or the wagyu tartare, made with A5 wagyu top sirloin, caviar, and quail egg. If you can order off the bar menu, though, you’ll find far more options among the appetizers, including a One Bite dish that allows you to try literally one bite of some of the best appetizer options, including the foie gras, caviar, and wagyu ribeye.
Soups and Salads
Soups and salad are scant on The X Pot menu. There’s one house special salad available, but there’s really not much reason for a soup section (as hot pot is pretty much a type of soup, if you think about it).
Entrees and Other Specialities
Of course, the specialty and main entree option here is hot pot. If you’ve ever dined at a hot pot restaurant in the past, you’ll know that you typically order individual items to cook during your meal, allowing you to mix and match items to create a meal to suit your preferences. At The X Pot, you’ll have literally dozens of items to choose from. Don’t feel overwhelmed, though; just order one of our recommendations.
First, you’ll have to choose your hot pot base. This is the liquid in which you’ll cook your other items. If you can handle a certain degree of spiciness, go for the X Special Spicy hot pot base, but if not, stick with the classic Collagen Golden Chicken hot pot base.
As mentioned, for the actual ingredients that you cook as part of the hot pot meal, your options are expansive. They range from very traditional and tame (think beef, chicken, or seafood) to highly specialized, with meat cuts and other ingredients you may have never tried before (think lots of offal). If you glance over the options and don’t see anything that particularly strikes your fancy, then place a safe bet and go with the wagyu. You can’t go wrong with the wagyu, nor the dancing noodles. However, if you want to be a little more adventurous than just steak and noodles, try out the beef tongue, tripe, or ox aorta.
Desserts
For dessert, you’ll have to order off the bar menu, and the daily options are always changing up, so ask your server about what happens to be available during your visit.
Drinks and Cocktails
The X Pot’s drink menu features a selection of spirits, wine, sake, beer, mocktails, and specialty cocktails. The Moscow Mules are the highlight here, with three different options. Try the X-Wife, with gin, apricot liqueur, lemon juice, and ginger ale; the X-Cess Denied, featuring grapefruit and lime notes; or the X-Rated, also made with grapefruit, plus a pineapple chipotle syrup.

What to Expect: Ambiance and Setting
The X Pot is elegant, modern, and dramatic. The entertainment never stops, with high-tech light shows, robotics, and more constantly drawing your eye. Soundscapes and high-definition projections compete for attention with the food on your plate. There’s a lot going on, but it’s an experience you won’t soon forget.
Things to Know About The X Pot at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
Location: The X Pot sits on The Venetian’s Level 2, in The Grand Canal Shops, right off Sands Avenue and between Elevators J and K. If you entered the casino’s main entrance, walk onto the casino floor and you’ll find Elevator J on the perimeter of the room, right next to the Miznon restaurant. Elevator K is likewise on the perimeter of the room, on the opposite side, right next to JuiceFarm. Take either elevator up to the second floor and The X Pot will be to the right of Elevator K or to the left of Elevator J.

- Sunday–Monday and Thursday, 11:30 a.m.–11 p.m.
- Tuesday–Wednesday, 5:30 p.m.–11 p.m.
- Friday–Saturday, 11:30 a.m.–12:30 a.m.

Dress Code: While there is no strict dress code, dress appropriately since it’s a nice restaurant, in smart casual clothing (think nice jeans and blouses/shirts).
